Matt, Diane, Lori, Karen and I took a train ride up to Poland for our holiday. We spent some time in Warsawa and then some in Krakow. Our hostel offered to take us over to the Auschwitz I and Birkenau camp so we did. Words cannot explain what went on here... only sixty years ago. I took pictures as I walked from one killing ground to another, but really all I wanted to do was to stop...be still and let the impact of it all sink in... I still cannot imagine the horror that took place behind these walls.

wow! a solemn moment, i'm sure... i can't even imagine you being there, unable to imagine the evil that once roamed those grounds. may He have mercy on such a cruel generation!
but in such hatred, His kindness is magnified to us who believe! you are His, be encouraged.
