Good stuff

Mom- My mama came home today! She has been sleeping quite a bit, but she is feeling better. Doc has her on some pain medication along with some other huge horse pills- Yuck. She was able to receive a blood transfusion and they drained the fluid out of her lungs as well. This should help with breathing because her right lung had lost all breathing capacity when it was full of fluid. Her CT scans will be discussed in another doctor's appt on Wednesday.

Thanks- So some of you are wondering... um, I called her about a week ago... why hasn't she called me back??? Well, thanks for all of the calls, concerns, and encouragement. I appreciate you. A couple of things... I have either been in the hospital where there hasn't been service, I haven't been able to talk... or... I've just been too tired. I am getting your messages, and love them so much- Thank you! You guys are fantastic! I'll return them... it might just take me a little bit.
The Word-"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadows of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust" Psalm 91
I was reminded of these words from a longtime friend of mine the other day at lunch. It had been probably about 15 years since I had seen her. She shared how her son, with whom I grew up with can recite it by memory. This brought tears to my eyes- The Lord is perfect. Her son has taken a tough road that has led him to some tough spots, including jail. As we sat looking at Psalm 91 together, I just had to smile. The Lord allowed my path to cross with her son's several years ago when he was imprisoned- I sat there nervous... he sat there intrigued... "How could I be a Christian? When did this happen?" He was puzzled. Well, as I look forward for his release, I eagerly await a time where we can sit down and I can hear his story. I want to learn from him. One thing is for sure, no matter what, I can't wait to see my friend again. I look forward to hearing from the kid who use to gross me out with Lizards and always beat me in basketball. Oh, its gonna be good.
