Ahhh

Doesn't it seem like there is WAY more evil than good in this world? It makes me want to scream, that's for sure. This past week alone, I missed getting ran over by a car by about 2 inches, experienced much ruthless gossip, have witnessed way too many arguments, and have just seen people desperately hurting. Most all of it is caused by selfishness. I hate evil! Its everywhere!
This same week I happened to read Romans 12.

Romans 12
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your
enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Just a few minutes ago while I was typing this, a neat thing happened. A group of teenage boys came to the door collecting food for people living in various places on a continent I long to be on. I invited them in and gathered some goodies. They have no idea how refreshed I was just to know that they were selflessly giving of themselves... just three young believers trying to make a dent in this crazy world by loving others.

Romans 15
"We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me." For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Now, I by no means, state that I am wonderful at loving people at all times. However, I'm gonna try dang it!
