Prayer

I am thankful for the way in which our Lord is moving here in Bratislava. He has begun a new bible study in our flat with amazing people from Vienna and Nitra leading. He has used people from the US to encourage students and teachers here. He has softened hearts in children and He has given us (teachers) strength along the way. He has proven over and over again that HE is real and TRUE. The Lord does work in mysterious ways. We can even rejoice in the hardships.

Upon hearing the bad news about my mom’s health- I immediately began looking into a plane ticket home for the holidays. Availability was near non- existent and tickets very expensive.

Well, as I was encouraging-no...telling a student to “get to work” he just happened to mention something about his mom being a travel agent! I said Co (what)? This student spent four years in Canada, so his English is pretty good. I asked my student where she worked. He not only gave me written directions to her work, but he wrote out directions, bus routes… and called her during “recess” to see if she could help me! Isn’t that just amazing? I visited her a few days ago. She said, “Sandra, I will do anything I can to help you...” Can you believe this? She was able to find a plane ticket home for me!

My eyes continue to pop out of my head every time God puts these puzzle pieces together. I tell you, He is on our side- even through the storms. I know many of you who read this Blog believe in Prayer and a God who listens… so I’m asking you to pray on behalf of my family.

Doctors are trying to shrink the tumor, but they cannot take it away completely. So friends, I’m asking you to pray for her. Pray as the Lord would lead you. Please remember the rest of my family in your prayers as well. Thank you.
