13 inches of snow in one day... yep, that is correct! I'm writing from my hotel room in Madison, Wisconsin. I am here for work- little did I know this trip would be full of surprises! After our classes today we learned that our shuttle decided not to run due to the weather... it was up to us to find transportation in one of the biggest storms Madison has had in 10 years... so we did. With the wind blowing and snow drifts piling up all around we ventured out in it! I, along with 4 others decided we would make a jaunt to the public buss before they closed down due to weather. We were half way to the stop in the middle of the blizzard when we were able to bombard a taxi cab! We all piled in and held on! Cars, vans, shuttles were sliding around... cars were in ditches everywhere! We finally made it back to the hotel safely... just in time for dinner and bed! Ah, what a night!

Ahhh...the land that I love!!! Now you understand why I had to drink so much beer and eat so much cheese when I lived there. I had to insulate my body enough to keep me alive if I got buried in a snow drift.
