Doctors, Nurses, and Shantra

Medical Field
So, I'm sitting here amongst people who have more letters after their name than I have in my name (P.H.D.... M.A...). "Emerging trends in Health Care Technology" is the name of the convention that I am attending. I am here as an Epic Instructor from one of the major hospitals in the area. My job consists of working at a hospital while educating doctors, nurses, and basically the whole medical crew on how to use the new online medical record system. Thus... I'm at a conference where all the VERY intelligent technological geniuses can get together and get their think tanks running... I just happened to get placed in that crew for the day... and boy did I learn some things...

Here is a glimpse of some of the newest trends hitting the medical field...
  • A molecular test that tests any dangerous activity anywhere in your body and lets you know test results in 30 minutes! It can reveal which specific diseases you are going to be more sensitive to due to your genetically make- up.

  • There are new "agents" AKA dye that will glow inside your body at the exact place where your body is contaminated with cancer or any other foreign disruption. Doctors will be able to locate specific areas where the tumors are by using the "agents" and an ultrasound. Then, instead of cutting the tumor out... doctors will Zap out the tumor using a high powered "beam of electricity"(Shantra's vocabulary)! No more scars!

  • Instead of getting hip replacements or knee replacements... there is going to be something called "hip remodeling" or "knee remodeling"... Docs are going to be able to rebuild the human body basically!

Other amazing things going on in my world

  • Mom is doing fantastic. Although she was turned down by the Cancer Research center in Seattle, she is pulling through with flying colors. Many people have prayed over her and laid hands on her praying for her healing. She says thank you so much for praying.

  • Pastor Dave, an incredible pastor in my hometown received healing about a week and a half ago! He used to have braces on his legs to help him walk, and now he is walking freely without them! Praise God!

  • I have had two great weekends of out of town visitors... one of them was Amy- Adam's step mom and the other visitor was Becky- good friend from CO. Our time together was so rewarding and edifying. The Lord has just been hugging me so much lately. Ah, it feels good.

  • I am in constant contact with some of my students and friends from Bratislava. They are all doing quite well. They just enjoyed the first snow! Maria, a current 8th grader has been improving so much in her English and has been spiritually growing a lot! I enjoy talking to her whenever I can!

We miss you so much in Narnia Shantra. I can see from your blog that back in the states is where God wants you and needs you to be now. But I will always be thankful and blessed that He enabled our paths to cross for a year.
