Road Trip details:
Colorado
I left Washington state and 22 hours of driving later I was in Colorado Springs! It was soo good to gather for dinners, have fellowship, chat, and catch up with all my crazy mountain buddies...I soaked up every opportunity I had to connect with new babies (James), experience new houses (Paul, Kristin, Jo and Tim (soon), hear stories, worship together, and soak up all of your love. Thank you Paul,Kristin, Beck, Kjersten, Heinmets, Jo, Tim, Chris, Joe, Jeff & Julie, Joy, James, Jon, Jason, Dr. K, Meredith, Laurie, TJ, and the list goes on... I know I'm missing many- I love you all!
Missouri
Beck and I then drove over to Missouri to see our good friend Carmen, Jon, and baby Johanna! It was such a joy to see them again. Carmen, I can't wait until you can count all your children on both hands! Jason, it was so good to see you as well!
Wisconsin (Pics coming soon)
Beck and I then headed out to Peshtigo, Wisconsin. Boy oh boy! Now, I looked forward to seeing this tiny little town where Beck grew up! We had a blast! John taught me what a dairy farm is all about, while Beck and Jessica introduced me to "The Barn." I thoroughly enjoyed a ride on the motorcycle ... and don't forget those cheese curds!
Florida, Louisiana (Pics coming soon)
Peg came and picked me up from the West Palm airport and we drove straight to Chilis to meet our friend Chad. We enjoyed meeting some new friends at dinner and then decided to bring back some old times. So, late at night Peg and I walked along the beach to the Breakers hotel and act like guests by making ourselves at home on their lounges. We were soon kicked out by the cockroaches that wanted to sit their instead! The next day Lori and I drove to Louisiana to visit our friend Heather from Morocco. We enjoyed swimming, talking, laughing, and being together!
Texas (Pics coming soon)
Through the rain storms we persevered and made it into Johnson city, TX. We drove in and met Adam and his family who welcomed us with open arms. Boy was it good to be there. Amy taught me how to get chicken eggs, while Pops made me laugh till I cried. We were able to spend good time together and we loved meeing the whole family. You are all so precious. After spending an incredible couple of days there, we moved on to Regan's house for some more swimming, shooting stars, yummy cookies, and quality time. Thank you! Lor and I drove up to Dallas and ate dinner with my good friend B and his soon to be wife! Yeehaaw! It was good.
Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon... and a few in between...
Lor and I continued the journey home just in awe at the goodness He poured out on us the whole entire trip. Every moment was perfect- meeting a friend at chick-fil-A to hear about her trip, having lunch with a dear friend who endured the desert of Israel with me, to receiving powerful prayers... Thanks Jimmy, Dr. K, Kjersten, good ol sweet tea with KJ, and having meaningful deep conversations with my buds from Focus, to even stepping in cow poo- every moment was perfect. I wouldn't have changed a thing... except for maybe being able to see Everyone! I loved our time together.
I'll be keeping this blog posted... on about a weekly basis... hang on with me right now as I'm transitioning into life in WA. I'll post again in about 2 weeks.
