The other night I had the opportunity to celebrate a co-worker's birthday. It was so nice to sit at an outside table, eat and talk with each other without the snow blowing in our faces. My favorite part of the evening was when another co-worker came with her family. They brought their young daughter Vanda who is also one of my students. She is a precious young lady who speaks English very well. This beautiful young lady came with a huge smile to Miss Jayne (the birthday girl) and told her that she had a surprise for her. Then, Vanda pulled out her flute and continued on to play for us all! It was such a treat and one that we will all remember. Thank you Vanda and family for sharing your beautiful gifts.
